HELLO DEAREST FOURSIXERS! :D now that blocks and other crap are over and done with, there are 2 more hurdles coming our way. but don't worry, they'll be the very very last ones that we'll ever have to cross! EVER! have you guys started counting down to prelims and A levels? well it's about time to start doing so, because they're really approaching at incredibile celerity. anyways, idk how many of you will actually read this (I admit that I haven't visited this place in ages) but here's a super wordy and lorsor shoutout to everyoneeeee!

JIAYOU AND ALL THE BEST FOR PRELIMS AND AS!!!!
over the years, we have all evolved from a bunch of unmotivated, floundering failures into hardworking, diligent and driven students right?! and we're not ready to let mr kuo or anyone who played a part in encouraging us down. most importantly we're not going to let ourselves down :) come on foursix, these last 2 hurdles are what we've been working so hard for all this while. we've come this far, so don't give up now and don't lose hope. have faith :) we have survived every single obstacle and menace that came our way over the years, so we will pull through these last 2 hurdles! :) I'm not gonna lie and say that it's okayyyy there's still a lot of time left don't worry. because there isn't much time left, honestly, but we've to make the most out of the very very short amount of time that we have left. only then will we be able to not let anyone down. not ourselves, not our teachers, not our parents, not our friends :) so just mug and pia like there's no tomorrow and put your besssst 脚 forward!!! :D prelims will be the final rehearsal before the big show, so don't get too discouraged if you screw up badly (I know I'm going to. really), learn from the mistakes and make sure you don't make them during the actual A levels :) low morale doesn't help so GO GO GO! ADD A LOT OF OIL. WE CAN ALL DO IT AND WE KNOW IT :)))))

i feel so guilty. i momentarily forgot the username and password to our class blog.

anyway, there were 12 sixers in the AVT today. that's more than 1/3 of the class, which is a bad thing.

hence, i'm here to not only motivate myself, but you guys too (the other 20 people included) to study hard to get your minimum 2 Es and an E for GP too to get promoted.

we really don't wish to see anyone getting retained right(:

it's less than 2 months to start of D-Day, so make full use of the remaining time you have; every minute, every second is precious. don't let time slip away from your fingers like sand from an hourglass.

it's our CLASS BIRTHDAY!

and as meiling has mentioned in our tagboard, it is weird hair day :D

everyone is encouraged to do something weird to your hair. eg tie 2 ponytails (which is quite gross lah depending on how you tie it-.-), or wear like 6 hairbands, or pin at least a thousand clips.

if many people do it, then we won't look that weird (:

how we found (most of) each other

Hey guys. Post-Orientation Party was the best. Seriously. Even better than the Campfire. Because it was spent with you people (: I'm here to tell you the story of how we managed to find one another, in the sea of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.

It all started after our faculty dances. (Ares' dance was da bomb!!) Chengxin and Kelly found me, and we decided to look for fellow Sixers and dance the mass dances together! So we gathered the Aresians we could find and headed off to search for our lost friends. Along the way, we picked up several others, who abandoned their CTs to hang out with the cooler Sixers. How awesome is that! We trained around, and pulled some other Sixers along too!

So, the Fellowship of the Sixers banded together once more, mixing the colours of Ares, Artemis, Athena and Apollo into one FOUR SIX :D We were the first multi-coloured gang to appear. Soon after, many other people followed. We set a trend man!! By the way, there were about 21 of us. Not bad eh :D

We danced, sang and cheered to our heart's content. During the song session, somehow, something triggered the taps. Some invisible hand turned the taps on. I almost lost my 形象. No elaboration on that.

IT WAS FUN! I SHALL UPLOAD SOME PHOTOS HERE AND THE REST WILL BE ON FACEBOOK =)

hi guys. go to the hci website : http://www.hci.edu.sg , click 'portals' at the navigation bar at the top of the page, and look for 'SMB (College)'. the username is your nric (eg s1234567a) and if you're logging in for the first time, the password will be the same. they'll prompt you to change your password! so please change it. the teachers post a lot of announcements here, so it'll be good if you can check it regularly (once a day if possible).

There will be a combine assembly at the terraces (concrete rows above the High School field) this Friday (23/01/09).

Please read the instructions below:
1) IP and DSA students are to assemble at the terraces by 7.10 a.m.
2) Student Councilors will be holding up placards for the IP and DSA students to line up. (Refer to the assembly formation attached)
3) Attendance will be taken by the class rep and submitted to Mr Yeow after the end of flag raising at the terraces.
4) IP and DSA students are to join the celebration at the Central Plaza after the combine assembly.

Do join in the celebrations and soak in the joyous spirit of CNY.

However, you are not allow to wear the attire stated below unless you have a medical reason (a medical certificate is required to substantiate your claims).

5) Any clothing which is revealing

406 chalet !

HELLO ~
haha i'm here to copy and paste the details about what happened during chalet :D
whoever wants to add in more details that i may have missed out, feel free to add it in haha :D

first day, we didn't really do much actually, mainly bbq for dinner. i helped to start the fire (: a lot of food ended up chaotah so too bad! i think people still ate it anyway..

then at 8oclock, almost everyone crowded around the tv to watch the finale of xiaoniangre haha. the ending was quite ._. .. could have been better haha. nvm!

haha then after that, some of us walked to the beach :D went with bel, jinyao and hf. we kept singing songs and it was quite fun :D then near the beach, we found a spot and sat down. and listened to music for super super long. jy, bel and hf were singing along to the songs but i didn't know a lot of them so i just stoned haha.

went back to the chalet at around midnight, maybe later. then in the chalet, some people were watching the nanny diaries so we just sat there and watched too. the show was quite nice, some parts were funny too.

after the show we went to crash in the room. shared a room with hf, nicole, jy and jenzi. :D and we played cards for a while until 3am then we went to "sleep" but we pretty much just ended up talking and talking and talking until near to 7am. nicole and hf went to sleep first while jenzi, jy and i continued talking for a short while then we all eventually went to sleep.

the next day! hsinfang woke up the latest. when we were cooking and eating lunch, everyone was like asking "is hsinfang still sleeping?!" and she was. tsk. lunch was very funny because of the detergent incident. hahahah.

after lunch, played snapjack (slapjack?) with hf and joanna. joanna is like, the best at the game lah. no matter how many cards she starts with, she always ends up with the whole 2 decks at the end of the game HAHA. her reactions are too slow. the only time she won the game was when she started with 10 cards while hsinfang and i splitted the rest of the deck between ourselves. lol.

so we played for quite long, then when the people who were in the living room watching movie finished the movie, some came to join us. joanna still lost though, HAHA. after a while, we went to play twister in the other room.

it was quite funny, everyone was really twisted :/ then we all got bored so we decided to go cycling. rented the 2hour bikes with joanna and some other people while the rest rented overnight bikes. then we cycled to downtown east. joanna and i can cycle! :D :D joanna changed her havaianas then we went to cycle somemore, just the both of us. cycled to a dead end then we turned around. we were happily cycling then i decided to suggest turning into some path, and the wind there was damn strong. then the drama started -.-

so the wind was blowing my hair all over my face and i couldn't see where i was going. so i decided to try and be clever or what, i let go of my right hand and swept away my hair from my face. and then i lost balance, so i fell off the bike. at first i thought everything was okay, then i looked down and realised something which totally sucks -.-

half my right big toenail was gone HAHA omg then i was laughing so much that i got a stomachache and joanna was really really disturbed and freaked out. sam and the rest saw us and came by then they saw what happened and everybody was very freaked out D: so after thinking about what to do, i decided to just get back on the bike and cycle back to the chalet. it probably wasn't very clever but it was better than walking.

so we returned the bikes then i went to save my toe D: washed it then everyone was saying i needed to go see a doctor, so sam, jo and hf came with me to go out of the chalet and look for a doctor. took a taxi and eventually ended up at Changi General Hospital since a lot of polyclinics and clinics were closed (stupid, why must they close to freaking early?!) but then it was better considering what happened after that.

at the hospital, i received a lot of grimaces and sympathetic looks. i got to sit on a wheelchair! :D exciting! hsinfang kept wanting to push me around like a supermarket trolley wth. so we went from place to place. first we went to register, then we went for the minor checkup thing where they see what's wrong before referring me to the next doctor. hsinfang accompanied me everywhere (thankyou!) then so i was referred to room 2. the doctor looked at my toe, asked what's wrong, etc. then he said i needed to take an xray hehe. so we went to the xray room. the friendly radiologists were all talking to me and they're quite funny, haha.

the guy who wheeled me in asked me what happened, so i told him i fell off a bike. then he actually asked "motorbike?" and i just laughed haha. oh and he showed me his own toenail which dropped off before and grew back. before taking the xray, another guy asked me whether there was any chance that i was pregnant, then i just burst out laughing and then all of us in the room were laughing. then he said "if there is a chance, you must say because radiation is very dangerous for the baby" then i just laughed again. i know it's just SOP but it was still quite funny hehe.

after that i went back to room 2 again with my xray films. the doctor said nothing was fractured and they needed to remove the whole toenail and i was like @$(@$@?!?. scary. he also said i needed to take an injection and then i was very D: about it. then the next place i went to was the nurses' station to take my jab. laughed like an idiot, as usual. hsinfang was quite bewildered by me i think, the nurse also. bleh. then went back to room 2 and he told us to go and wait at some place, which was next to the OT.

the OT actually looks very scary, even though i watched almost 5 seasons of grey's anatomy already -.- hahahah! so we waited for very long and just sat there talking about stuff. there was one time when the woman at the counter was looking at me and when she caught my eye, she grimaced at my toe and i was like wth.

waited some more then finally the doctor came and i went into the OT. sooooo coldddd inside, i was shivering like mad even though they gave me a blanket. i shall not describe what happened, so freaky :/ yeah it hurt quite a lot but ohwell. i was again, laughing like a maniac and the doctor was quite shocked i think :/ so now i cannot wear shoes for quite long. i looked at the mc just now and it said until 20th omgggg :/ that's the 2nd day of school! means i cannot wear shoes on the first day. so embarrassing -.-

yeah then after the hospital trip, went back to the chalet! all the taxi drivers that we met (okay only 2) seemed rather disturbed by my toe :/ [/edit! OH i forgot to mention that now when joanna tries to irritate me or something, i will threaten to pluck out her toenail AHAHAHA then she will immediately stop trying to irritate me HAHA /]

had steamboat for dinner :D and i just hobbled around the chalet. after dinner, i cannot really remember what we did. oh we played games while the rest went night cycling. i learnt how to play mahjong :D and then jo, jenzi, hf and i played bridge. we taught hsinfang how to play so we played a few games. i kept having joanna as a partner :/ :D haha.

then the rest finally came back. also cannot really remember what we did after that :/ that night morning, we talked again. i drifted in and out of sleep a lot but contributed to some parts of the conversation. jenzi said that everytime they said "oh iris is asleep" i will wake up and say "no im not" which is quite stupid actually haha.

woke up the next morning at around 12? really late. hsinfang woke up at 2oclock lah wth. the same thing happened. people kept asking "hsinfang is still asleep?!". joanna and i ate cup noodles for breakfast (: basically this day was spent playing mahjong and card games. since we all woke up late, time seemed to pass by quite fast and suddenly it was near to 5oclock already D: played mahjong with charis, jy and joanna and i lost like crap D:

then we stopped to bbq the leftover food. laiweng and yiwei were in the kitchen frying stuff like sausages, fishcakes, etc. oh and we were outside bbq-ing chicken wings. at one point, we were commending the chefs. then we were saying "hey laiweng! you don't need to study for SATs already, just go and be a chef!"

then after a while she came out holding this bowl of broccoli and cabbage thing :/ so some people ate a bit and then we took back whatever we said about laiweng not needing to study for SATs anymore HAHA OMG it was damn funny. then someone [edit: jinyao!] suggested playing zhong ji mi ma to eat up the broccoli+cabbage-cooked-in-teriyaki sauce+chicken stock (ingredients were damn gross D: ). i had to eat the thing 3 times, and joanna lost twice too.

she was very horrified because she doesn't eat veg and the whole dish was veg. she was forced to eat a piece of cabbage and she washed it down with a whole bottle of water. then the next time she lost, somehow she ended up having to drink the sauce D: D: which is the worst forfeit ever, if you ask me. and so she drank the sauce until she actually cried. the tears were like streaming down her cheeks D: and she drank a lot a lot of water also. haha. i dont know what happened to the rest of the dish in the end :/ [edit: they were thrown away D:]

after the bbq, sam, hf, jy, jenzi and jo went swimming so i just sat by the pool and lazed around. listened to music and looked for stars. at around 8, we went back. played mahjong with samrae, charis and georgi. i started out with 1dollar and ended up with 10cents left -.- that's how much i suck at the game.

then we went for dinner which was pasta. watched fragments of house bunny then went back to playing mahjong haha. then after a while we decided to go and play cards instead. played cards with charis, georgi, samrae and gerard and i thought i was seriously going to go broke until i suddenly won 10cents HAHA and then after that i won some more money then some people got hungry so we went out to cook stuff and eat stuff. charis and i cooked luncheon meat and pasta. the oil for the luncheon meat kept splashing out and attacking charis ): but the luncheon meat was quite nice :D

after that i went to bathe! bathing is actually quite fun because i have to sit on the chair with my leg on another chair to bathe. then after my bath i went to room 3 to look at people play mahjong. watched for a while then nicole wanted to bathe, so i took over her. before she left, i told her that when she came back she would have negative amount of chips HAHA because i really do suck at mahjong. so we played and i kept losing, obviously.

then nicole came in with fruits! :D so hsinfang was being all possessive of the watermelons and wanted to eat them all. and she wanted to take a photo of herself looking possessive of the watermelons. she tried a lot of times but her expressions were just weird and not right. then laiweng suddenly said "flip 白眼!" and then we stoned for a few seconds before i said "that's possessed, not possessive" and then all of us just burst into laughter and laughed DAMN A LOT for damn long.

we just kept laughing and laughing until i had a stomachache and even my toe was laughing (it was trembling and trembling and then it was kind of painful) haha and then i seriously couldn't stop laughing. laiweng is hilarious HAHA.

after that was over, we continued our mahjong game. then people started to become tired, so jinyao, nicole and hsinfang went to the other room cos nicole and jy wanted to sleep and hsinfang wanted to play with their phones. we played one last game of mahjong and OMG I WONNNN :D :D :D like finally HEHE so i was very excited.

then we packed up and went back to room 4. we were talking and laughing about rather weird stuff then nicole woke up and said we were noisy ): so we moved! to room 2. continued talking and talking. then georgi and laiweng came back from the beach and joined in our conversation. laiweng, again, was DAMN FUNNY HAHA :D thinking about it just made me laugh again. she wanted to tell us about her friend who was apparently quite horny? haha then laiweng was like "is it corny or horny ah?" and then we all laughed damn a lot. and then i said that the next forrosix post title will be "corny vs. horny, possessed vs. possessive", something like that HAHA. hilarious. then people started drifting off to sleep after a while.

last day! woke up at around 8something then i went back to room 4 and brushed my teeth. then hsinfang went back to sleep. there was no space on the bed and there was nothing to do, so i took out my sleeping bag and slept on it. then jenzi's alarm!

OMG jenzi's alarm made us all want to destroy her phone and burn it or something. her alarm is like @@^$@&^$ the worst alarm i've ever heard, even worse than Magnifique in New Zealand OKAY D: the first time it rang, i was thinking "ee what a gross tone". and then i thought it was over but NO D: it rang again! and again, and again. i think it rang 3 or 4 times. stupid alarm.

then i got up and packed my stuff and sat on the floor waiting for people to wake up. then because the 3 people on the bed (jy, jenzi and nicole) refused to get up, hsinfang and i decided to try bel's method of waking them up. haha the "mother" way. it worked, i think. haha.

then we packed up and at 10oclock, my dad came and picked me up. and that was when i realised why nobody was very concerned about me or my toe. because they didn't know about it. only my mother knew and she didn't tell my dad :O so he was very shocked to see me in this state -.- damn retarded. i hate this, but i can't do anything about it. haha too bad! i'm still thinking about how i'm going to collect my o-level results next monday. :/

that's alll! :D chalet was a blast, nonetheless. hehe i think we all really bonded a lot, as in the people who went. fun fun (:

haha yeah so basically that's what happened? from my point of view lah :D

Jinyao found this deal at dailyjobhunts and asked me to post here (: What you have to do is to be fast-food tasters and fill in some surveys/discuss the fast-food you just tasted for approx 2 hours (1-3pm, this is unconfirmed) on two days (29th & 30th Dec) and you'll get $80! Sounds lucrative huh! They'll call you for a short-phone interview and see if you're suitable for the job.

HEY YOU MICKEYS!

Class chalet is confirmed! 5th - 8th January 2009 at Aloha Loyang. It's a 4-day 3-night chalet and everybody is encouraged to come for at least one day. Best if you can stay over for all 3 nights! Fun is defo guaranteed. We'll have a class meeting soon to decide on who to bring what. Here's the tentative schedule.

5th Jan: Meet somewhere (my house..? -.-) and go shopping for food(!!) in the morning. Then we'll check in after we're done shopping. Dinner will be BBQ!
6th Jan: Do something in the morning (go beach or something), and dinner will be steamboat.
7th Jan: We'll have some activities during the day. Dinner will be spaghetti!
8th Jan: Check out around 9.30am.

So, please suggest whatever activities we can do! And suggestions for anything are most welcomed to cater to all our needs =) We were thinking about going to Wild Wild Wet or Escape, but we'll have to see if its too expensive. Unfortunately, we are all classified under adults =[
